Happy New Year

Well it's New Year's Eve. I suppose 2009 will mostly be remembered for the super-hyped, swine flu, that never really got of the ground (although I suppose there's still time), Susan Boyle and 3D films. I can't really think of anything else that happened in the last 12 months...
Oh well. Onwards, Jedwards and upwards! Here's to a fantastic 2010!

Day of the Triffids

I'm a big John Wyndham fan and I really enjoyed the BBC's version of 'The Day of the Triffids' that was on yesterday and the day before. But as I was watching it I was thinking that the Triffids didn't seem to be as scary as the terrifying 80s version and that it is really hard to make a plant scary anyway. The plant episode of 'Life' did it well when they were covering carnivorous plants but then you knew their insect prey was really doomed.
So I decided to design the perfect Triffid. Like the BBC, I ignored how Wyndham described them (you can see his original sketch here) and just went for pure terror. I think you'll agree that I've achieved that. So if there's anyone from the Beeb design department reading this, feel free to give me a shout for your next big show! And you lot, get down the library and read all of John Wyndham's books as they're ace.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everybody! See I'm sticking with the green Santa too. I'm not bowing down to the commercially influenced character of our age of marketing and sticking with Santa's (arguably) original form. I'm kind of guessing about all that of course though. God bless us everyone!

Saucy Bunny Undies

My blog is looking more and more like an underwear catalogue with every new post. Never mind, humans always need comfortable and high quality under garments and the best place to get them is from the lovely people at AussieBum.
So here you go, another pair of pants you simply have to buy. Eagle-eyed viewers may notice that these slightly suggestive bunnies are favourite characters of mine, but due to their suspicion of rudeness they are really hard to do anything with. But it seems they have finally found their place - down people's trousers, where they belong.

Double Take designs for AussieBum

Huzzah! - I'm dead pleased. My Christmas designs for AussieBum have all but sold out. But don't worry, I have a brand new range I've done for them called 'Double Take' hitting the shops today. They're ace, but don't take my word for it, look at these pictures. I've said it before and I'll say it again, these chaps are great to work for and watch this space as the series grows. Check out your local underwear emporium or get them from the AussieBum online store.
