Gameplay Backgammon

I just found this sultry scene which I did while working on Gameplay's Space Age, sexy alien Backgammon. Hubba hubba!

Advertising hoardings

Seeing as it's getting a little wintery I thought I'd post these up. These were textures that went on signs to provide atmosphere and encouragement alongside a computer generated ski run in an Alpine environment that went atop an exercise machine. I'm not explaining it well but you can see what I mean with this video here.

Christmas screen print shift

I'm selling off these amazing A2 screen prints I did. They'd make great christmas presents. If you want one, pick your colour (pink, orange, cyan or red) and let me know through the website.
How does a tenner sound? That's with postage too - a little more if you're from outside the Empire of course.

Spider Story

Here's a sneaky peak on what I'm working on at the moment. Watch this space as I have high hopes for this one.

Flatties Babushka show

Yesterday I went to the Flatties Babushka show at Kid Robot. I know I'm always at Kid Robot these days but that's it for the time being. Anyway it was a great do and there were some lovely pieces on display by some lovely people. They've all been sold but go and check out their site and a big thanks to Dan Morgan for the photos he took of my offerings.

Two faced dog thing

Look at this adorable chap. I don't know what to say to justify this creature, which I suppose is some kind of dog. But just look at him, he's such a cutie.

Second cat with the body of a spider

Thought I'd have another go at the cat headed spider (or is it a spider bodied cat) that I did on Thursday. This time I coloured it up.

Beware Tall Grass

If you're in London's fashionable West End this evening pop into the Kid Robot shop and have a look at the pieces in this mini expo based around non copyright infringing Japanese style monsters. Along with my glittery pinnata offering (which I'll hopefully get a better photo of tonite) you can see such pieces of genius from the likes of Lunartik, A Little Stranger and Jon Paul Kaiser.

A spider with the head of a cat

I doodled a spider with the head of a cat on the cover of my sketch book in biro and just scanned it in.

Bebop (from Bebop & Rocksteady fame)

Something at the British Museum reminded me of Bebop from Bebop and Rocksteady so rather than sketching one of the amazing antiquities there I did my version of the mutated hog from TMNT.

Spiderlings

One of the best things you ever get to see in this life is watching a big ball of spiderlings hatch from their egg cluster. If you've never seen this it's a bit like this.

Lovely box

I find it hard to believe that no one wanted my custom for the Sneaky Show. I think I misjudged the mood of the nation - I just thought that glitter would be popular this Autumn. I should have gone with my original idea which was this one.

Egyptian dung beetle

You want an Egyptian dung beetle? You got one.
This was art work from a rejected game concept. Why these big publishers are so bothered by poo I'll never know.

Sea dragon pattern

This was a colour test for a textile design I did for AussieBum. In the end it was never used but it's interesting to see the different colours and I am keen on the weedy sea dragon as it is one of my favourite animals. Thinking about it this creature looks more like a leafy sea dragon but its name just isn't as good as its weedy cousin.

Gunpowder, treason & plot

It's Dandy day again today. If you can find it, buy it and you can enjoy my historical (or should I say hysterical) accurate rendering of the Gunpowder Plot.

Día de los Muertos

It was All Hallows yesterday and today it's the Day of the Dead in Mexico. I don't think anything sums up this festival more than a chihuahua riding on a motorised sugar skull pumping out sweeties.

Proof that there are such things as ghosts

Here's proof, if proof be need be, that there are such things as ghosts. Here's a photo of me displaying a fantastic Scrabble victory. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary when the picture was taken but imagine my surprise when I saw the photo and noticed the fearful apparition that had manifested above the Scrabble board, most probably to admire my score and skillful use of utilising the triple word squares.
Happy Halloween.

It dazzles & amazes

This is the custom I did for Sneaky Raccoon's 'Tales from the Sneaky Crypyt' show that is currently on in London's Kid Robot shop. I'm all about glitter at the moment. You can even buy it if you want and half the money goes to charity. That has to be a reason to get this glittery fellow home and on your shelf.
You can even buy Kitten Parasite books there at the moment too.

Frog prince

It's always satisfying drawing frogs - even more so if they're wearing crowns. Hail to thee, Frog Price.

One Direction

Don't judge me - This was for work. I had to draw One Direction. I hadn't heard of them either (and to be honest they didn't sound that good live - a bit like a school concert or something).

Hallowe'en Korky

The Hallowe'en edition of the Dandy is out today and I have created the most spine chilling Korky story for it ever. So nip down to the shops and get it straight away - but don't blame me if you have nightmares it's the Ed's fault for publishing such horror.

Puppet pal

This is a little project that I'm working on at the moment. Of all my ridiculous schemes, this is the one, I think that will work. What could possibly go wrong..?

Mummy Dearest

It's tomb for a treat so here's a couple of mummies for you.

Vintage character design

I found some old characters I designed for a 3D chat room application a few years back. Sadly it never got realised  but if it had it would have been amazing. The characters had all been rendered up and some of them were really off the wall - and that's by my standards. I think we may have been a little to high brow for the intended audience but you have to strive for that. Otherwise where would you be? ITV 2 I suppose. Here's a couple of the more vanilla human character concepts.

School subjects

A recent gig of mine was to illustrate some school subjects for an education authority. It's harder than it sounds as the subjects cover so much. Here's what I came up with to portray RE and History. Succinct  I'm sure you'll agree.

El fuego se quema!

Well that's enough computer rendered shenanigins for the time being. Here's a chihuahua drawn in the old style. Normal service has been resumed.

More Pixel Rendering Mayhem

Here's a couple more 3D rendered pixel creations from the archieve. Above you can see a cow and below a narwhal and a dolphin. I did these in 1999 I think if you can cast your mind back that far.

More 3D Renders

Here's a couple more from the archives. I truly am the King of the Third Dimension. Go Pixel Ninjas!

3D Penguins

Potential commissioning parties often look at my portfolio and say, "You're definitely the best illustrator we've ever come across but do you have any other skills? Can you render anything in the third dimension - you know like the Pixar stuff?"
Then I show them my computer generated work and am politely asked to leave the premises...

Savage Chimp

I came across my old animated logo for my old website. To put this in context it was pre-millennium but feel free to gasp at my three dee skills.

Screen prints bagged & tagged

I've just bagged & tagged a batch of screen prints for that indie shop on St James Street in Brighton that never gets back to me so I have to keep going in in person to try and catch the owner in person. I have it on good authority she'll be there tomorrow, so I'm going in.

Blue parasite

I haven't drawn a new kitten parasite for years. I've just remedied that with this.
Don't forget you can see more of these abominations of nature on the Kitten Parasite blog.

Art Pass

What's this? Yes, it's a pass holder that would be great for holding your Oyster card or bus pass.
Once again the adorable Matt Jones ( AKA Lunartik) has included me in his latest series of Art Passes, well not part of the actual series as I've already been on that and I can't do it twice but I'm tagged on the side as an extra little bonus. I've gone for a lovely scene of pink dinosaurs battling it out.
You can buy this and the rest of the series at Forbidden Planet or come to me and I'll give you it for cheaper and may even throw in some extra treats too. It'll be the best £2.50 you've ever spent.
If you want to see what Lunartik looks like in real life then come down to London's Forbidden Planet this Saturday as he'll be showing his latest toy wares and hosting his very own tea party featuring customs of his ace vinyl toy by all your favourite artists such as Triclops, Little Stranger, Pete Fowler, crikey - virtually all the players... and me too.
