Zen Elephant

It's all going a bit Zen this week. This time an elephant has reached the state of Nirvana. I think I have too. I'm definitely in some altered state of consciousness... Maybe the opposite state to Nirvana. What would that be? This week has been hectic to say the least. And it's only Wednesday...

Hoxton Mystery Solved

Yesterday's mystery has been solved. It was all above board as you can see in the comments for the previous post. It wasn't a horrid corporation, it was the rather lovely James from Big Antidote. So all is well. Here is the hoarding in all its glory. But it's gone now... well I couldn't see it.
I wonder what my next case will be...

Hoxton Mystery

This is a bit of a mystery. A friend of mine sent me this from his phone which he saw on a hoarding in trendy Hoxton Square. He couldn't find any other facts so why was it there and who put it up? I'm not even sure how big it is.
The original art work used here I did for the Big Antidote show. Have a look at their website as the comic strip is progressing nicely (as I type I realise this concept is identical to my last post) but I don't know how that ended up here. Nice as it is to see my work up it would have been nice to have been asked or told or even, dare I say it, paid. I know there is a lot of money in the building trade and this is my job not just a hobby. I want a slice of that sweet cash!
If anyone can shed light on this mystery, please let me know. The game is afoot!

Find Chaffy

Get yourself down to your local book shop, or online equivalent and get your hand's on Jamie Smart's new book Find Chaffy which is out today. From what I've seen of it, it looks ace and Jamie's work is always fantastic and from all my dealings with him I can tell you that he's a lovely chap too.
Jamie's organising a massive web comic to celebrate which launches on the site next week and I'm proud to be involved. So have a look there soon, but while you're waiting go and buy the book.

Nua Brighton

If you're in Brighton town centre, pop into the Nua store where you can see (and buy) some of my more erotic (I use the word in its broadest sense) pieces of art. It's an ace shop with lovely staff so go in and see them and they may let you try on their hand cuffs and hot pants and loads of exciting things like that.

Robot Lube

Robots need plenty of lubricant to keep all their parts in fine working order and they love the taste of raspberries. That's why raspberry flavoured Engine Lube is their lube of choice. If Andy Warhol was alive today and was also a robot I know he would have approved.

The Scooter & Jinx Window Display

It was a lovely sunny day in Hastings last Wednesday when me and my old pal Matthew Jones went to jazz up the window of the nation's favourite designer toy shop: Scooter & Jinx.
In the Old Town every year they have a shop window competition and with our eyes on the prize we converted a load of old bike boxes into this fantastic display.

Hats off to the Jones. He has all the technical skill where as I just drew the odd fish and offered helpful advice. I like to think that I was the brains and he was the brawn (and some more brains) but we did have a fun day there. So let's see if we nail that prize.
