Cavey's 3rd Birthday

Can it be three years since Cavey first came into our lives? It can and it is. And to celebrate this milestone my good friend and Cavey Mother, Holly AKA A Little Stranger will be staging a party in the rocking rodent's honour.

Displayed for your viewing pleasure will be over 40 custom Cavies featuring all your favourite artists and me. All these beauties will be for sale so get involved and invest. This shindig will be held at the Fleet River Bakery in London on Friday eve. All the deets can be found here so come along and say hello. I hear rumours there'll be cake there to.....

Flatties Babushka show

Yesterday I went to the Flatties Babushka show at Kid Robot. I know I'm always at Kid Robot these days but that's it for the time being. Anyway it was a great do and there were some lovely pieces on display by some lovely people. They've all been sold but go and check out their site and a big thanks to Dan Morgan for the photos he took of my offerings.

Lovely box

I find it hard to believe that no one wanted my custom for the Sneaky Show. I think I misjudged the mood of the nation - I just thought that glitter would be popular this Autumn. I should have gone with my original idea which was this one.

It dazzles & amazes

This is the custom I did for Sneaky Raccoon's 'Tales from the Sneaky Crypyt' show that is currently on in London's Kid Robot shop. I'm all about glitter at the moment. You can even buy it if you want and half the money goes to charity. That has to be a reason to get this glittery fellow home and on your shelf.

You can even buy Kitten Parasite books there at the moment too.

Art Pass

What's this? Yes, it's a pass holder that would be great for holding your Oyster card or bus pass.

Once again the adorable Matt Jones ( AKA Lunartik) has included me in his latest series of Art Passes, well not part of the actual series as I've already been on that and I can't do it twice but I'm tagged on the side as an extra little bonus. I've gone for a lovely scene of pink dinosaurs battling it out.

Lunartik Mini Tea Tour

Look at me, freshly bathed, wrapped in my dressing gown, nibbling at a couple of mini egg cakes busily working away on a Saturday night. The reason why - I need to clear my desk so I can swan off to Berlin and live it up with the Pictoplasma set.

While there I will be staying at the luxurious 5 star Hotel Lunartik. The highlight has to be the launch party of his Mini Tea Tour. I have a piece and the collection so please come along and marvel at it. But it's not just all about me, there are 70 fantastic other artists involved so please come along and say hello if you're in Berlin next week.

Lunartik - Kid Robot

That Lunartik is the light of my light this week. Tonite, if you're in London you must go to the Kid Robot shop (it's only a store in America). The customs Teas that have been all over the place are ending up here this evening. He'll be there along with loads of other artists so pop along and say hello. If you like the customs you see there, why not buy one. They're up on ebay so try and it's all for chari-tea, the NSPCC so bid crazy. Please bid for mine too as it'll be awful if no one does, both for the poor children and for me personally.

Save the Whale Qee

I'm sorry, but this is a bit of self regarding nonsense: I realised that I hadn't put up a picture of the Qee I designed for Toy2R, years ago on this blog. Well, you never know who will read this and there's an amount of kudos to be garnered from this kind of thing so here it is.

I did do another one that was used for a Budweiser promotion but have never seen it in real life so I hope the campaign was a success.

Droplet 2

I'm just back from the Droplet launch in Bristol and it was loads of fun. Great to catch up and enjoy some pina coladas with Peskimo, Delme, Okkle, Holly, The Triclops chaps and all the other groovers. Well done of course to Gav himself for doing such a stirling job organising the shindig and doing the toy in the first place.

I had hoped to just show a little animation of the Droplet rotating, but for some reason it won't display it in a form giving the illusion of movement that I desire when I view the page. Maybe you can see it spinning around below. Otherwise, right click, save it and open it up at your leisure - you may be amazed!

I'm afraid it's a slim week for blog posts. I've been dead busy with this and that, mainly that if I'm being honest. But look at what an exciting weekend I've got planned.

On Saturday I'll be going west to stay with my lovely pals Jodie & David for a weekend of Bristol fun, climaxing in Gavin Strange aka Jam Factory's new toy launch. As the above flyer suggests there'll be a collection of custom jobs on the Droplet, which is the toy that is being launched, series 2 mind. Yes, you've guessed it, one of them has been done by me. I'll post up a picture of my custom after the do as tradition dictates.

Lunartik Show at Forbidden Planet

If you're out and about in London's fashionable West End on Saturday, around lunch time, I advise you to pop into Forbidden Planet on Shaftesbury Avenue and go and see Matt Jones with his new toy. He'll be on hand to sign and talk (and he really can talk) and there's a fantastic window display of Lunartiks in Cups of Tea by the nation's favourite artists and me.

I always have a slight fear of doing these customs as I get frustrated by their shapes and end up smudging them and they never turn out as good as I want them to. Then you have to display them next to people who are amazing at this like the Triclops chaps. But have a look in the window and enjoy this impressive collection.
